Reality
You came into my life,
Like a breath of fresh air,
Rejuvenating, revitalizing, refreshing
Reawakening in me, a wish to fulfill my dreams..
I thought that my innocence was long a gone,
Until you came,
You gave me love, hope and trust..
And I came to a decision- the earth was paradise
This was to last forever…
There was bliss, when heaven was at my feet..
At least I thought so, you were my saviour,
You were my guide, you were my friend.
Until you shattered it all,
By your words of hurt and indifference,
By your words of not knowing me,
Of your way of being a stranger to me,
The once beautiful world, transformed into an uncaring, ugly, wicked, harsh monster,
Desires, wants, dreams, fantasies until your love for me was forgotten..
It was then that I realized,
The cruel impact of reality, I should have known that,
While I was slumbering with sweet dreams..
That was you who stood laughing…
