“Flight”
The moon hid behind the clouds,
Darkness filled the space,
My body rhythm haunted, gasping for a breath,
I felt the pain of failure, all through my nerves
Failing to combat it, I collapsed in fear
My heart was singeing; Courage was melting,
I needed a friend to comfort; to cushion me with hope;
Leaning against the wall in distress
My hand lay on the ground
Obstructing the way of an ant.
Who carried a sugar bowl
It failed to cross my fingers
To reach the wall, and climb high
But didn’t lose its confidence, In doing it several times
At last testing its patience, I let free
She swarmed up the wall, and vanished within no time
This little creature had replenished in me,
Energy to fulfill my ambition, to fly high and aspire for more
And never to despire oneself
